Wednesday, February 25, 2015. I received a Chemex coffee maker last week from my wife. I had looked at the maker for a while and she bought it for me out of the blue. As a big fan of coffee this was a fun experiment with a new maker. The Chemex uses a coarse ground coffee to increase the surface of coffee exposed to the water. The first week of use leads me to decide it is a great way to enjoy coffee. It is not a fast process. Sunday, August 31, 2014.

Later this month, Mark, Julia, and I plan to visit the Pond and meet with some people in Maine who helped take care of Paul following his drowning and enabled his safe return home.
